A touch of the sun

The most common cause of drupelets becoming white is sun-scald. This is particularly so with the "Heritage" variety. And both the plants I choose last winter are ... you guessed it.

And just when Alannah was starting to enjoy them for breakfast. She declined them this morning now that she knows they are diseased. I will replace them with another variety during this coming winter, once they are in stock again at Daley's. They have, in addition to Heritage: Smoothy, Autumn Bliss, Chilliwack, and Williamette, The "Smoothy" might be the way to go as Alannah dislikes the thorns on the current canes.
